Our Post-How It Beggins

If not true yet, we know it in our hearts it will soon be Our Journey. Starting point:

West Fargo

We think that there’s no better choice than this little town to start our adventure across the States. You may have heard something about West Fargo, but we guarantee you that there is more than meets the eye .

We arrived in town(from nowhere),Saturday around 8 am. Little did we knew that this 25.000 souls town will be so animated.

Our bones craved a cozy place to lay down and we choose to
do this at Comfort Inn west Fargo Even though we didn’t had
a reservation, the staff had no problem in giving us a dream
room…Budget friendly too. After a quick foam battle in the hot tub, we made our way through the nearbies .

First stop:  Red River Zoo

We made our entrance just in time to be a part of Animal Care 101 Program. We learned everything and even more about how those furry friends live.
Being a zoo keeper isn’t easy, I can tell. Especially when it comes to dirty jobs. Our smelly job envolved cleaning the cage of a rare resident of the Zoo: the Red Panda. Not much bigger than a chubby cat and with eyes like a pair of black dices, this little guy chews bamboo leaves all day long. And there are proofs left behind.

Let’s just say the only thing that drove me through the process was the thought that there are fewer than 2500 like him in the whole world. Lucky me, I got to clean his poop. It was a bumpy task but we both pitched in to clean the cage in no time.
After Cosmin shared his apple with a two months old Suffolk Punch filly, we headed to lunch. I was that hungry that I could eat both the horse and the apple.

What better place to stuff our faces than TNT’s Dinner
Where the home cooking is at its best. It is well known that they serve the best bread pudding in town. The menu is also filled with other heaven goodies: corn chowder, pie apple crisp and biscuits and gravy. Tim and Tammy Hagensen, the owners, heard that two hungry walkers ask for a table, so they stop by to say “hello”. I ditch all my fears for fats by ordering a plate of biscuits and gravy, before dipping my fingers in it like a savage. Hubs got a warm soup and some spicy sausages. Icing on the cake, food was on the house. Nothing fancy then, but still a place where even a king would trade his crown for a meal.

Being chased by the time, me and C. decided to rush over another great outdoor attraction: the Red River Valley Fair. I just couldn’t wait to squeeze my butt in one of those mountain rouse’s seats. We payed $7 just to get in, but it not like I have this chance all year around. Apparently, C. hasn’t changed that much since he was ten. He took a spin with a tilt-a-whirl. I, on the other hand was felling quite brave. I embarked in Power Surge! It was like on the board of a fighter plane, cause this little baby combined 3 different spin action. I swear my jaw was at the bottom of my feet when it was all over.

Since we hadn’t eaten dinner yet, a solution was found in no time. The fair offered many not so healthy options. Lunch was on the greasy side, so why not care on with the same song? A dozen of mini donuts went straight in our bellies, followed by a strawberry smoothie which was kind of bland but still good.

After such a full and exciting day, we needed to lay down as fast as possible. Sure, a regular bed sounded comfortable, but I knew we couldn’t live from West Fargo without trying the campgrounds from Buffalo River State Park. Backpacking a small tent is never a bad idea. The park had swimming, hiking, skiing and picnicking areas. Being the lucky bastards that we are, we were picked up by another group of campers and their guide to walk the …Full Moon Walk.

The event takes place on every 17 day of June and it’s all about exploring the prairie and the edge of the Buffalo River woodland. The walk is no longer than 2 mile, but our eyeballs were almost glued to the landscape as the night went on. This unexpected short trip ended up at The regional Science Center telescopes. Ron Potter himself, the manager of Recreation Systems was the one that showed us the constellation of Ursa Major. Right there, under the bright stars, I kissed my husband and told him these exactly words: “ Fest Wargo was your best idea ever. That s why they call you The Brain. I’ll be the Pinkie!” .

Next morning, we were hitting the road, searching another great adventure across the States.

Her Post- Why Is Healty To Stare At Airplanes And Sip Cheap Wine?

Rise and shine, bloggy buddies!

There s no better way I receive the spring weather in my life than this: being healthy, strong and positive. For me, my mindset is my fuel. Our brain is the most complex machine ever invented and I sure get all tangled sometimes trying to figure out how it works. I m like: “ What does this button do?”.

We recently saw “ Sanctum”, and there s one scene, when a girl panics and dies cause she cannot handle it anymore. So yes, I exaggerated a bit, but my point is no matter how much a situation sucks, I keep telling myself “ It has to be something good in it” , so I spend every second trying to see the full part of the glass. It works every single time, trust me!

Last night, we saw a film from our newest obsession category : Animations. There was a time when monsters and freaks with seven heads were all we saw but after so much blood and creepiness, we wore ready to switch on cartoons. "Up" is the most original animation movie after “ Wall-E”.

If there are tickets left, I m in for a trip !

I not gonna reveal all the funny parts to you. The story was such a great example that anything can be done if one has courage. It s about love, about pursuing your dream and about adventure.

When we saw that balloon flying house, we vividly remembered the moment we went to a field nearby our town to watch how airplanes fly off to USA or God knows where else. We drank wine from plastic cups and pretend that we re in that flight. And we will be one day. I have no doubt at all.

Sipping in red cheap wine and staring behind the fence

I m off to do some workout and then I m going to meet with my half-boss. The day will be spend running some errands and then cooking with my hubby for the rest of the week. Sunday? Church, play time in the park, day dreaming and …love!

I hope you all have a great weekend and you all day dream once in a while! It s healthy!

you can see HERE how they build the house from "UP" in real life! Told you everything is possible!

His Post-SuperWoman

Doesn't everybody wonders : "Do super heroes really exist ? Could SuperMan ever be real? And if he ever did, who could be his wife?”.

Well I don’t have the answers for those questions, but I know one thing that Super Women does exist, and I am the proud chosen one of her. No matter how many pages I write about her still won’t ever be enough, but here are just a few reasons for why a think that she is just super.

- No matter how tired she is or how little sleep she might have, she always wakes up before me and prepares me dinner.

- She is the best cook love can buy, and by far and no doubt the most ingenious one.

- What’s the name of my best (and true) friend (it’s hard to get one)? You guess it Andreea.

- The best Romanian (and English) language teacher (and the roughest), for sure.

- And who doesn’t want the sexiest nurse at his head just when you feel like dying? (even if you are not). To take care of you after being foolish enough and come home through the rain, just like a wet rat!

- She is a great football player, and she always kicks my ass! Well I am just kidding one this one, but it’s really funny and relaxing to to play sort of football in the park with her.

- When I was young (and restless :) ) I was wondering if how my future wife ( I didn’t know her back then) will get along with my mother. Well … she got it covered, in fact she is more like a daughter of my mom.

- Who has the best looking babe from this part of the Universe? I’m pretty sure that I am the lucky winner.

- Spontaneous and funny ? She has it all. When we go for a walk this second she is next to mine the next one you can see fooling around the water almost falling in to it.

- What do you think that ties all of this together and ads some spices in our lives ? Well just a tiny hero argue. Super Women’s do that sometimes.

- The most famous personal trainer of them all, my wife.

- All the kitties and dogs from this Earth have no fear of extinction because your savior has arrived. Yep, she loves them all and she always buys pretzels and shares with them. Even do they are not always eating :)

- Before I met her, I was always bragging how well I can clean the house and I was considering myself the best. Well now I am second Best :).

- Oh her eyes, her eyes
Make the stars look like they're not shining
  Her hair, her hair
  Falls perfectly without her trying

- And last but not least I just want her to know that if would stop loving me just for only one second I would ceass to exist.

Her Post- A short story and some serious threatenings

Hello from our snowy and so windy Bucharest! My day started with a lot of paper work due to some school projects, then I had to write an article for my part time job. Before that, I rushed to pack lunch for Cosmin and made breakfast. After 3 hours of staring at the computer and trying to pay 100% attention, I managed to take a snack and squeeze a butt/ muffin top workout. After that, made my homework for today and here I am, catching up with blogging on my way out to college.

I am looking at my nails and I blame for letting myself go like that. I have clean and round nail but I wish to have some polosh on them, especially since a new one is waiting in my desk. The real problem are my hands. Day by day, my hands transform in some form of blackboard where you can find all sorts of dots, lines or little spots. The reason for all this is my clumsiness. Although I am a good cooker and I m not bragging, and although you can call me Speedy Gonzales in the kitchen, for some reason I don t feel the pain or I ignore it. Whether I fry an egg or I put a try in the oven, I always end up hurting myself.

A funny story reached to my ears recently. Do you know how band-aid was invented? The plaster was the creation of a man in his desperate attempt to protect his clumsy wife. You read right! This man called Earle Dickson worked at a pharmaceutical factory and told his bosses about this awkward idea. At home, he tried everything to save his wife fingers and came up with something that would stay in place.

This brainiac took a square of compress and trustworthy it to the core of a square of tape, and afterwards lonesome the product with crinoline to keep it sterile. Today we can enjoy this little piece of miracle when the first drop of blod make it s way till the surface of our skin.
He can be very very mean to me! Help !

Cosmin is not that patient neither that inventive, so he frankly threatened me if I once cut or steam or fry my hands and fingers. He said that a girl cannot have the hands of an old lady and seems perfectly logical but I can t help myself. He told me than he would abandoned me alone in the kitchen as soon as he sees the tiniest spot on my hands.

Wish me look with that impossible mission !
